I am a Ph.D. candidate in Business Technologies and Marketing, with a minor in Machine Learning, at Carnegie Mellon University, where I am fortunate to be co-advised by Kannan Srinivasan and Param Vir Singh. Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon, I received an M.A. in Economics from Duke University and a B.S. in Finance from Peking University.
My research studies how artificial intelligence reshapes decision-making in digital markets, with a particular focus on the opportunities and risks that arise when firms, platforms, and institutions delegate decisions to AI systems. I conceptualize AI not only as a predictive tool but also as an economic decision-making agent embedded within market environments. Methodologically, I combine structural modeling, machine learning, reinforcement learning, and generative AI to identify when AI improves managerial decisions, when its capabilities remain limited, and how firms, platforms, and policymakers should design and govern AI-based decision systems.
